More than 50 startups from the MENA region took part in Seaside Startup Summit UAE.Ras Al Khaimah and participated in different battles based on their fields of operation and stage of development. The names of the winners were announced during the Official Closing Ceremony. You can find the full list here:


Big Battle: 


1st place $7000 : AgroWave

Agrowave aims to provide the best price to the farmers by optimizing fruits and vegetable supply chain by using research, analytics, and technology. They are a tech product for farmers and business which helps farmers to sell their product directly to businesses.


2nd place $5000 : Autochain

AutoChain provides a one-stop solution that helps build a healthy and trustworthy relationship between the buyers and sellers. AutoChain is a decentralized application that is built on the Ethereum blockchain. The main focus lies in creating an immutable, transparent ledger containing numerous kinds of data about the history of the vehicle such as previous owners, vehicle service history, past damage reports, etc. Moreover, on account of the unique intrinsic nature of the Blockchain technology itself, all this data is completely secure and immune to any kind of illegitimate modification.


3rd place $3000 : VR-zone

The software will allow customers to self-configure a project in a preferred way in relation to the site where it is going to be constructed. In addition, customers will have the opportunity to put their own touches and reflect what they have in their minds immediately in the VR environment, as the architect who is responsible for this modification will be involved too. Architect and customer will be involved in the design process, changes will be applied lively in front of each other, and this will lead to saving a lot of cost and time as any change will be accepted or declined from the architect immediately.

Seed Battle:


1st place $5000 : Faylasof

Faylasof is one of the largest online bookstores in the Middle East. It allows ordinary users to conveniently easy find books, offering more than 1 million titles of Arabic and English books with home delivery and customized payment methods that suit the Arab region. 


2nd place: $3000 : Infinity Leather 

Infinity Leather is an idea that aims to connect leather enthusiasts directly to the craftsmen. Cutting the middlemen out and giving the benefits to the consumer and the craftsmen. They source everything locally, playing their part in helping the local industry and keeping the carbon footprint of their products low. All the products are long-lasting and the packaging is recycled and reusable. They spend less on marketing and let the customers buy a customized one, handcrafted leather products at affordable price marks.


3rd place: $2000 : DAFA

UAE is transforming at an unprecedented rate so its institutions, businesses, people, and practices. However, there is a considerable number of people in UAE and GCC who are left out. DAFA (Arabic word for “pay”) Micropayment Solution is seeking to revolutionize cashless payment for those people who were deprived to reap the benefit of FinTech and technology in general.

Brand Battles: 


AR/VR $4000: truMaps

truMaps integrates virtual & augmented realities with conventional maps, to create the next generation of paper maps. It redefines the boundaries of the conventional paper map and equips it with GIS (Geographical Information System) and MR (Mixed Reality) capabilities. With truMaps students can virtually explore inaccessible locations and teachers can enrich curriculum content to further enhance students’ crit. In addition to Education, truMaps can be utilized in tourism, real estate, commerce and utility agencies.


Social $4000: Ligaro

Ligaro is the much-required leap, which will help travellers cross the barrier towards and for convenient travel. The concept of baggage allowance has helped airlines maintain safety, consistency and unbiased service for all its customers. However, the same concept has stifled comfort levels and imposed barriers for its consumers. To maintain the safety standards of airlines and still allow their users to travel with all their belongings. Traxia is now in it's infancy to revolutionise the concept of airlines and to allow their users to smash the barriers of bounded travel. Ligaro is doing this this by providing an avenue to its users to connect with each other and efficiently use allowance.
